Vossenova Burglar Alarms

For Cars Vans & Trucks

HISTORY

Hi, I'm Jim Vossen. In 1966, at the age of 16, I started developing a very simple vehicle burglar alarm system. The alarm consisted of a fender mounted key lock, a 12-volt double pole relay and a connection to the vehicle's horn relay. This system was very crude, yet effective. Eventually I started using "ANES" vehicle alarm systems.

In 1969, I arranged to sell and install my alarm systems at Sears, on Geary in San Francisco. In 1970, I moved my business to 64 Golden Gate Avenue, in San Francisco, where I engaged in both in-shop and mobile installations. I eventually concentrated on mobile installations only.
